Two Charged Over Heathrow Alleged Pepper Spray Incident
Two individuals are now facing charges following a suitcase robbery where a substance thought to be pepper spray resulted in harm at London's Heathrow Airport.
Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, have both been charged with two counts of robbery and charges for administering a noxious substance, as confirmed by court officials.
This legal action stems from an probe of an assault at the parking structure at Heathrow's Terminal Three on the weekend. Earlier that day, two women were robbed of their luggage stolen after getting out of a car park lift, police said.
A toddler was among those injured in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to a medical facility and were subsequently released.
This event – which authorities stated was isolated and not considered a terror-related act – led to train delays and the partial closure of the main airport road tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a short time.
